Cover Letter for Open Enrollment 2025

Open Enrollment for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston Health and Dental Plans and the Paid Catholic Family and Medical Leave Program (for participating employers) begins on Monday, May 12.
 
The Benefits Department recently mailed Open Enrollment booklets to benefit-eligible employees.  Open Enrollment runs this year from Monday, May 12 to Monday, June 16.  If you haven’t received your booklet, please contact the Benefits Department at [email protected] or (617) 746-5640 so we can confirm your address and send another booklet to you.  You can also access information about Open Enrollment, including all documents that were included in booklets mailed to you, at catholicbenefits.org/oe.  Highlights of the benefit offerings are included in the this cover letter, which accompanied the Open Enrollment booklets. 
Employees can see applicable Medical and Dental deductions in the MyEnroll system (myenroll.com) starting on May 12.
 
Note that the Summaries of Benefits & Coverage for all three RCAB Health Plans were amended since the booklets were mailed, to wit: exclusion of GLP-1 and other medications when prescribed for weight loss, effective July 1, 2025.  Additional information about the reasons for this change is available in this FAQ document:   RCAB Health Plans GLP-1 Change FAQs_May 2025.  The Health Plans have experienced medical and pharmacy expenses at much higher levels than anticipated over the last 18 months, thus necessitating the need for a 13.2% increase and the elimination of weight loss medications described above.   Additional changes to the Health Plans may be needed in future years, such as exclusion of certain hospitals and doctors, higher employee cost-sharing tied to the use of certain hospitals, etc.
 
The Benefits Department will host the webinars listed below to review highlights of the Blue Cross Plans, the Dental Plan, the Wellness Program, and the Paid Catholic Family and Medical Leave Program.  Below is a schedule of webinars and links to register.  The Benefits Department will also host a limited number of on-site presentations.  Please check with your business manager to determine if an on-site presentation is scheduled at your location.
