Mass for the Feast of Ugandan Martyrs (6/12)

Important Eucharistic Congress Updates! (6/18)

Advanced ticket registration is closed for the Eucharistic Congress, Jesus is Here, being held on June 18, but tickets will be available to purchase at the door beginning at 7:30 a.m. Cash or credit card will be accepted. Faith and Family Life Catholic Ministries (6/21)

Join Fr. Tim Donovan, President and Founder of Faith and Family Life Catholic Ministries, for a training day on the Pathways Formation Suite. Walking the Passion of Christ: A day of retreat for men affected by a loss from addiction and substance use disorder

Jesus is Here for Youth and Young Adults (6/17) 

This is a pre-event to Saturday’s June 18th Eucharistic Congress. The evening will include Praise & Worship by Village Lights, a talk by Bobby and Jackie Angel, Adoration, Confession, and a visit by Cardinal Seán. Our Cardinal looks forward to gathering with the young people of the diocese to encounter our Lord truly present in the Eucharist.

Vino et Veritas (6/17)

An evening of networking, faith, and discussion presented by the Archdiocese of Boston in partnership with Young Catholic ProfessionalsThis event is an opportunity for young adults (ages 21-39) to enjoy food and drinks while networking and socializing and Q&A with Cardinal Seán O'Malley, Bishop Robert Barron, and Bishop Daniel Flores. Tickets include admission to Jesus is Here for Youth and Young Adults. Tickets are $25. Seating is limited. Registration closes June 8, 2022.

Our Sunday Family Meal

At the request of Cardinal Seán, the closing of the Year of the Eucharist comprises four parts:

  1. Jesus is Here for Youth and Young Adults on Friday, June 17 at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross;
  2. Jesus is Here, Archdiocese of Boston’s Eucharistic Congress, on Saturday, June 18 at the Tsongas arena in Lowell, MA;  
  3. Celebration of the Sunday Eucharist for the Feast of Corpus Christi on June 19 in your parish; and 
  4. Our Sunday Family Meal prayer service in your homes—having been nourished by the Eucharist at Mass, families are then encouraged to come together to share a meal and celebrate the gift of faith in Jesus we share in our family. We invite your family to participate in Our Sunday Family Meal Prayer. It comes complete with activities for children of all ages and is available in 4 languages.

ONGOING PROGRAMS OFFERED BY CENTRAL MINISTRIES

Faith Formation Leader Mentor Program

The faith formation mentoring program provides a great opportunity for leaders throughout our archdiocese to share knowledge, broaden and strengthen relationships, and support and encourage one another in ministry. We provide information on expectations for the program and suggested conversation topics and host fun leadership forums at the midpoint and end of the yearlong program. If you are interested in having a mentor or know someone who is, please contact Patrick Krisak at [email protected] or 617-746-5753 or Rosemary Maffei at [email protected] or 617-746-5760.  

Forming Disciples in Mission

This workshop is designed to give you the tools to understand the New Evangelization, embrace living as an intentional disciple & become comfortable sharing your personal witness to form disciples in your family, neighborhood, workplace, & parish. Advanced registration required. This workshop is free to attend if you are a member of the Archdiocese of Boston. If you are outside the Archdiocese, the cost is $25. Parish Created for Love Update

The mandate to implement the Created for Love safe environment curriculum for 6th through 8th graders continues: https://www.csoboston.org/about/CFL.  Colleen Donohoe, in the Catholic Schools Office, remains responsible for the implementation of this curriculum in archdiocesan schools.   The Secretariat for Evangelization & Discipleship and the Office of Pastoral Support and Child Protection are now responsible for the implementation of this curriculum in archdiocesan parishes.  

These two departments are jointly working on updating this curriculum for parishes and will provide more information in the months ahead.  We will provide updated child and family materials, a leader guide, and translations of the material in other languages.  If you have any questions about parish implementation please contact Patrick Krisak ([email protected] or 617-746-5753) or Chris Donoghue ([email protected] or 617-746-5770). 

Grateful Discipleship Program

A Program for parishes that encourages parishioners to make a yearly commitment. Impacts including seeing immediate increases in commitments of prayer, service and sharing. Planning and implementation of this Program is provided to parishes at no cost in 2021.
