iTHIRST Retreat (9/18)
The goal of the retreat is for participants to recognize the distractions and attachments in each of their lives so that they might better understand the plight of our brothers and sisters who suffer from all sorts of addictions, and may better see the face of Christ in all who are sick and suffering.
As you prepare to celebrate, pray for, and commission those engaged in formal parish catechetical ministry this year, we encourage you to find opportunities to remind parents of their indispensable and God given role to form their children in the faith. Bishop James Augustine Healy Award Prayer Service and Celebration (11/13)

Faith Formation Leader Mentor Program
The faith formation mentoring program provides a great opportunity for leaders throughout our archdiocese to share knowledge, broaden and strengthen relationships, and support and encourage one another in ministry. We provide information on expectations for the program and suggested conversation topics and host fun leadership forums at the midpoint and end of the yearlong program. This workshop is designed to give you the tools to understand the New Evangelization, embrace living as an intentional disciple & become comfortable sharing your personal witness to form disciples in your family, neighborhood, workplace, & parish. Advanced Registration required. Workshop registration closes one week in advance of the workshop date to allow time for facility set-up and food orders. Participants will have the option of bringing their own lunch or paying for lunch to be provided. This workshop is free to attend if you are a member of the Archdiocese of Boston. If you are outside the Archdiocese, the cost is $25. Some workshop dates will offer a virtual attendance option, which will be indicated below at a later date.

Parish Created for Love Update
The mandate to implement the Created for Love safe environment curriculum for 6th through 8th graders continues: https://www.csoboston.org/about/CFL. Colleen Donohoe, in the Catholic Schools Office, remains responsible for the implementation of this curriculum in archdiocesan schools. The Secretariat for Evangelization & Discipleship and the Office of Pastoral Support and Child Protection are now responsible for the implementation of this curriculum in archdiocesan parishes.
These two departments are jointly working on updating this curriculum for parishes and will provide more information in the months ahead. We will provide updated child and family materials, a leader guide, and translations of the material in other languages. A Program for parishes that encourages parishioners to make a yearly commitment. Impacts including seeing immediate increases in commitments of prayer, service and sharing. Planning and implementation of this Program is provided to parishes at no cost in 2021.
